Necron C'tan DeceiverAs his name indicates The Deceiver is a master when it comes to lies and deception. His tricks have led planets to their doom and great leaders to their grave.This box contains one metal Necron Deceiver and additional parts to detail his base. Model supplied with a 40mm round base. The Deceiver's greatest strength is in his ability to deceive his enemies. On the battlefield this takes the form of the Grand Illusion special rule, allowing you to redeploy your units after set up. This means you can set up your powerful units on the left flank and then after your opponent has placed his counter units, you can move them somewhere more appropriate. Alternatively, if you had to place your combat units before your opponent placed what would ideally be their targets, you can redeploy them so that they are as close to what you want them to get stuck into as possible. After all the subtle manipulation of the deployment phase, don't forget that the Deceiver is still a C'tan and is almost as good in combat as the Nightbringer. Do watch out for Sniper Rifles as they'll wound the Deceiver on a 4+. A unit of 5 Eldar Rangers will on average take a wound off your Deceiver each turn. Be sure to send you other, faster units (Destroyers or Wraiths) after them as soon as possible.
