Alive since before the Elves had learned the ways of written language, perhaps even before the arrival of the Old Ones, Shaggoths, as these fell beasts are known, can reach titanic proportions and on occasion have been seen to tower above forest canopies and even castles. Shaggoths are fiercely independant and will refuse to fight for a daemonic master, in the belief that to do so would risk what remains of their soul.
