Tyranids

Welcome to the Tyranids!

Tyranids are an alien race from the cold depths of space travelling the galaxies and the voids between them in vast, drifting hive fleets, constantly hungry for warm flesh. They infest the stars in their billions, a raw force of destruction that has been likened to a locust swarm - remorselessly hungry and far too numerous to stop. When a hive fleet locates a planet its warrior-organisms descend and slaughter its inhabitants like cattle, dissolving their corpses into biological gruel from which new Tyranids are spawned. The Tyranid race thinks, perceives and acts as one great whole; every Tyranid is bound to the implacable will of the Hive Mind.  They are reminscent of the creatures from the Alien movies, or of the Zerg from Starcraft.

If you want to field an army of beasts, specifically engineered to rip the foe to pieces, then the Tyranids are for you.  To start building a Tyranid Army you will need the Tyranid Codex, which has all the history, rules and armies for building a Tyranid army.  After that we recommend starting with the Tyranid Battleforce, which gives you a good starting base for your army.  After that you can fill in the rest of your army from our large selection of boxed sets which are featured below!
